Art
In elementary art classes, students will explore many different aspects of visual art. Students will let their creativity flow by engaging in activities such as drawing and painting with various materials. They also learn art vocabulary, explore the work of many different artists and art movements, and learn to appreciate art as it enhances our world.

Clubs
We offer lots of exciting and interesting clubs and after school activities for students to participate in!
- Girl Scouts
- Girl Scouts is operated by an outside agency. This has been a staple at Burroughs for years. Each semester we will issue enrollment forms to a capacity of 30 girls. Visit the Girl Scout website for more information.
- Tulsa Girls Art School
- This is a place where our students can explore their creativity! It’s a world full of wonder. You get to explore how to change items by using color, how to get creative with yarn, plastic bottles, and paper towel rolls…just to name a few! The possibilities are endless!
- 5th Grade Leadership Team
- Once a week, this club meets in lieu of their Specials time. They brainstorm life skills, they build their muscle to be creative entrepreneurs as they write a plan to host an end of the year project that benefits our community. This club is hosted by our long-time volunteer and community member, Mr. Darryl Bright.
- New City Club
- New City Club is operated after school one day a week by our partner New City Church. This club teaches biblical principles infused with daily life practices.
