Many of our families receive SNAP benefits, and because of the recent government shutdown in January, SNAP benefits for February were released to families early in January, creating hardships on families that will not receive any food stamp payments in February.
For any families that may be in need, the following Tulsa Public Schools have food pantries on campus that students are encouraged to take advantage of - Central, East Central, Hale, Hale Junior High, McLain, Memorial, Rogers, Booker T. Washington, Webster, TRAICE Academy, Tulsa MET, and Phoenix Rising.
In addition, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma has partner associations that distribute food. Locations and hours can be found here. Families can also call 211 for help. This Helpline Center was created to provide community information and referral services.
